Nancy Sinatra avec Lee Hazlewood – Jackson
side a1: Jackson
side a2: I Can’t Grow Peaches on a Cherry Tree
side b1: You Only Live Twice
side b2: Hard Hearted Hannah
Sound quality is quite iffy at best on this original 45, but look at that sleeve. In real life it’s even better. They sure knew how to make single sleeves in those days. Or at least they had the money to do it, heh.
For a couple of months about 12 years ago I pretended to be a rockstar singing in a band, and one of the songs was dedicated to Nancy Sinatra’s voice. I was completely in love with her voice – it was a voice I could give up everything for, I felt at the time. So I wrote a lyric about a man who gave up everything for Nancy Sinatra’s voice.
Still love that voice. And in combination with Lee Hazlewood’s baritone well, that’s just wonderful.
