Box set with seven 7s, each one with two classics of the legendary Greensleeves, released to celebrate the label’s three decades of existence. Greensleeves started as a record store in London in 1975 and kickstarted the label two years after with singles by Reggae Regular and Dr. Alimantado, of whom they also released what is one of my favourite reggae records ever, Best Dressed Chicken in Town. Oddly enough, there’s no Tado track on this compilation, but it’s got a couple of others of my favourite reggae singers on it: Eek-A-Mouse, Barrington Levy, Dennis Brown and of course, Gregory The Cool Ruler.
