Bought this single when I was employed at a certain now defunct independent record distributor. I don’t know much about the band and I don’t own any other release by them, but the fact that they were on Dischord was enough. Well, half, kind of. This, like almost all their records, was a split release between their own Rebel Music label and Ian MacKaye‘s.
RLTSOT were probably the funkiest of their peers, combining the DC hardcore sound and lyrics with lots of bass-slapping and percussive rhythms. Fun fact: the band was formed by Bobby Sullivan who used to be in Soulside. The other three Soulside members went on to form Girls Against Boys.
