After playing with The Downbeat 5 and The Dents, Jennifer D’Angora started Jenny Dee & The Deelinquents to express her love for the girl groups of the sixties. They played in Madrid a couple of weeks ago as a supporting act for Eli “Paperboy” Reed, whose manager/label boss Ed Valauskas is Jenny Dee’s bassist. He’s also the producer of another Lovemonk-related band, The Right Ons.
We released this single (yes, with two A-sides) in Spain a couple weeks ago, it’ll be out in the rest of the world after the summer. “Shake Some Action” is a cover of a song by The Flamin’ Groovies.
