Good, old fashioned P-funk, not from Plainfield or Detroit but from Chester, UK. This single came free with the Spanish magazine dedicated to all things funk, Enlace Funk.
P-Theory are based in Chester but there is a Plainfield connection, as singer/guitarist Kevin Goins was born and raised in the town. He used to be in Quazar (not Quazar) together with his brother Glen, who was a legendary funkateer playing with bands like Bobby Womack and Parliament-Funkadelic. Check out the A-side of Quazar’s self-titled debut album here and here. Really, you should.
Meanwhile, P-Theory are funking it up good. I like this 45 a lot. Good job by Enlace Funk giving this one away methinks.
