Quite an appropriate entry on this day, I’d say. This 45 comes as a bonus with the 2007 reissue on Light in the Attic of Betty DavisThey Say I’m Different LP from 1973. Which rock bells. The album, that is. Raw, gritty funk from the former Mrs. Miles like only very few, or maybe even no other ladies dared to bring at that time. She was the one who introduced Miles to Jimi, and word has it she was also the main inspiration for Bitches Brew, which Davis originally wanted to call Witches Brew until she told him it was not going to be that way.
