Nummers 1 en 2 vertegenwoordigen de muziek waar resp. mijn moeder en mijn vader naar luisterden (en dus ik ook).
3 is de eerste single die ik kocht,
4 mijn eerste kennismaking met rap,
5 die met reggae,
6 die met reggae in combinatie met de groene rookwaar,
7 die met opwindende ska waarvan je heel hard ging dansen op schoolfeestjes.
Nummer 8 staat voor de donkere periodes die in de laatste 3 jaar van mijn schooltijd begonnen en sindsdien met enige regelmaat terugkeren en weer weggaan,
9 speelde in dezelfde periode, net als 10. 9 en 10 luidden trouwens ook de jaren van het Grote Lawaai in.
11 is de ontdekking van de beste rockband van de jaren negentig,
12 staat voor mijn hernieuwde waardering van elektronische muziek, en bovendien de ontdekking van de breakbeat,
13 is het beste junglenummer aller tijden, altijd goed om mij aan het dansen te krijgen,

15 is more or less where I am now.
